Simulation of the Effects of Vehicle Bodyshell on Low Frequency Magnetic Fields Due to High Voltage Power Cables in Electric Vehicles

Finite element models of a simplified vehicle-like structure have been used for preliminary investigations of the likely impact of vehicle bodyshell materials and structures on invehicle low frequency magnetic fields, such as those associated with currents flowing on the high voltage power cables of vehicles equipped with electric powertrain. The simulations reported here consider frequencies up to 500 Hz.
